ABOUT PAUL

Paul Fitts

How did I get here

I grew up near Wendell and attended East Wake High School, then Pembroke State (now UNC-P). My father still lives in our family home, where he and mom raised myself and my two brothers. My younger brother and Mom have passed on, and my older brother lives in Holly Springs with his wife and family. I was raised Southern Baptist. My father was a self-employed refrigeration repair man, and my mom was a stay-at-home mother who volunteered at each of my schools, was a substitute teacher, and volunteered years of service to help with books on tape production at the library for the blind.

My family lived in a makeshift double-wide until I was 10; my parents then bought a modular two-story home and had it assembled on the lot where the mobile home was. I remember pouring the concrete and placing the brick for the foundation of the home. Experiences like these taught me the value of hard work. The love and caring from my parents taught me that the priorities in our life should be “God, Family, and Country,” in that order.

In my early career, I worked at a graphics company called Accent Imaging, where I collaborated with Raleigh’s top architects, engineers, and construction companies. Many of the buildings that people work and live in around Raleigh and the construction of I540 were projects that I was proud to be a small part of.

I’ve bought and sold real estate, still own investment properties, and I have been a business owner in Raleigh and Wake County as well.

Paul and Joelle

I am a LIFELONG Wake County resident and for the last 34 years I have lived and worked in North Raleigh. In 2015, I married the Love of my life, Joelle.

Currently, I am a mortgage lender who has helped thousands of Wake County residents either buy their first/next home or refinance their current loan to help them get a better handle on their financial situation. I have been honored to work with some of the best real estate agents in Raleigh, who appreciate the work and willingness I put into our mutual clients. I have worked with some clients for well over a year to help them improve their credit to purchase a home. It’s a great feeling to know that you’ve helped someone purchase something as life-changing as a home, the cornerstone of building family and generational wealth.

In my spare time, I volunteer for numerous charity and civic events, such as Raleigh Parks and Recreation, including one of Raleigh’s biggest charity events, the “Jingle Ball.” I’ve sat on the board for civic organizations and even was a founding member of a scholarship organization for my former High School.

Reflecting on my journey, I find immense joy in contributing to the community and helping others achieve their dreams. Life has been a remarkable journey, and I am grateful for the opportunities to make a positive impact on the lives of those around me.
